Offset silicone photo-quality transfers represent the convergence of fine art printing technology and industrial garment decoration. This product category was developed in response to fashion brands demanding label graphics with photographic realism — gradients, shadows, fine typography, and continuous-tone imagery — combined with the premium tactile quality of 3D silicone.
The process works in two stages. First, we prepare a PU film base layer using high-resolution offset printing that achieves 175-200 LPI (lines per inch) resolution — comparable to magazine-quality print. This allows for smooth gradients, sharp text down to 4pt, and faithful reproduction of photographic images with full CMYK color gamut. Second, we overlay the printed film with a clear or tinted silicone layer that adds 0.3-1.0mm of 3D relief, creating a lens-like depth effect that makes the printed image appear to float above the fabric surface.
The result is a label that combines the best of both worlds: the graphic fidelity of offset printing with the premium hand-feel and durability of silicone. These transfers are popular with fashion brands for limited-edition collections where the label itself becomes a design element, and with promotional apparel companies that need to reproduce complex sponsor logos with absolute accuracy. Each transfer is individually trimmed to shape and supplied on carrier sheets for heat press application at 145-155°C for 10-15 seconds.
